ABOUT US
Kathryn Diaz, LMFT
The techniques I have discovered and found useful on my own healing journey have become the foundation for my practice as a holistic psychotherapist. My passion lies in creating a sacred and compassionate space where individuals can embark on a transformative exploration of their inner worlds, healing past trauma or negative beliefs so that they can fully live in the present moment. My approach is deeply rooted in empathy, recognizing the uniqueness of each person's experience and honoring the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit.
Therapy sessions are infused with empathy and intuition, creating a safe and compassionate space for you. I am direct, but gentle. I have special training in trauma (PTSD) and addiction, EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Jungian psychology, art therapy, relationship (attachment) issues, spiritual issues, grief and infertility.
I customize each therapy session to suit your unique needs and goals, ensuring you get the support that's right for you. I understand that healing encompasses mind, body, and spirit and will address all aspects of your well-being to promote true transformation.
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist #78878
MY STORY
I have been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2014, which is when I began working in Malibu, California, at residential treatment centers with clients who were in recovery from substance abuse. It was there that I began to utilize a more spiritual approach to traditional talk therapy, integrating various forms of mystical traditions like astrology and numerology, into my therapeutic style. Not only was this new way of working with clients well-received, I found that people were connecting to themselves and healing in a much deeper way than I had witnessed before. I also found that this unconventional way of working with people felt more authentic to me, which osmotically encouraged authenticity for my clients. Several years later, I became trained in Attachment-Focused EMDR, and then Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing, which added more depth to the way I was able to work with clients, and provided me with more therapeutic tools to activate healing. This unique method aims to create a sacred and open space for clients, allowing exploration and healing on multiple levels – psychological, emotional, and spiritual. It's important to note that I maintain a client-centered focus, tailoring my approach and interventions to each individual's comfort level and belief system. This open-minded and inclusive process allows for a rich exploration of diverse spiritual perspectives while respecting the unique needs and values of each client.

Andreana Davies, AMFT
Born to British-American parents and raised in England, France, and Cyprus, I have now spent half of my life in California. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I enjoyed a 14-year-long career as a grip in the film industry and many years working towards this life transition. In so many ways I am, and always will be, “becoming” a therapist. This work means continual learning and ever-enduring curiosity, about myself, the field, and you. My approach incorporates my varied life experience, my personal journey in therapy, practical matters (such as sleep, nutrition, and movement), imagination, and a deep passion for helping you connect with your authentic Self.
As a human full of contradiction and complexity, I invite you to bring your full spectrum of emotions, thinking, and being to our work together. Everything you are is welcome.
