Couples Therapy

I offer couples therapy in Los Angeles and virtually throughout California for partners navigating conflict, emotional distance, and the relational patterns that keep them stuck. My approach is depth-oriented and attachment-informed, drawing on somatic therapy and depth psychology to help couples understand not just what is happening in their relationship — but why. I work with the nervous system, early attachment history, and the unconscious dynamics that shape how two people love, fight, and disconnect. Whether you are in crisis, caught in a long-standing cycle, or simply want to go deeper together, couples therapy offers a structured and compassionate space to begin.

Couples Therapy Packages

Depth-Oriented, Attachment-Informed Relationship Work

Relationships don’t unravel in a single moment — and they don’t heal in one session.

Most couples seek therapy not because they lack love, but because they’re caught in repeating patterns: cycles of conflict, withdrawal, resentment, misattunement, or emotional disconnection that feel bigger than logic or good intentions. Couples therapy offers a structured, compassionate space to slow these patterns down, understand them, and create lasting change.

Why Couples Therapy Is a Process (Not a One-Off)

While a single session can provide insight or relief, sustainable relationship change requires continuity. Couples bring years — sometimes decades — of attachment history, nervous system conditioning, and unspoken hurts into the room. Healing unfolds over time as we:

  • Identify and interrupt entrenched relational cycles

  • Build safety and emotional regulation between partners

  • Explore attachment needs, protective strategies, and unmet longings

  • Practice new ways of communicating in real time

  • Repair past ruptures and rebuild trust gradually

  • Integrate insight into everyday relational life

Change happens through repetition, practice, and integration, not just understanding. Packages allow us to do this work with enough depth and consistency for it to truly take hold.

Frequently Asked Questions About Couples Therapy

How do I know which package is right for us? If you're newer to therapy or want to start with a focused, time-limited experience, the Couples Insight Intensive (4 sessions) is a great entry point. Couples dealing with deeper or longer-standing patterns often find the Relationship Repair (8 sessions) or Deep Transformation (12 sessions) packages more fitting. We'll discuss this together during your free consultation.

Do you offer couples therapy online? Yes. We offer virtual couples therapy throughout California via telehealth, and will be offering in-person sessions in Los Angeles beginning in summer 2025. Online couples therapy is just as effective as in-person work for most couples and allows for greater flexibility and accessibility.

How is your approach different from other couples therapists? Most couples therapists focus primarily on communication skills. While communication is important, we go deeper — exploring the attachment patterns, childhood experiences, and unconscious dynamics that drive recurring conflict. We integrate somatic awareness, depth psychology, and the Gottman Method, which means the work addresses not just what you say to each other, but how your nervous systems respond to one another.

Do both partners need to be present for every session? Yes, couples therapy sessions involve both partners. Occasionally, individual sessions may be incorporated as part of the work, but the core container is relational and requires both people present.

What issues do couples typically bring to therapy? We work with couples navigating communication breakdowns, recurring arguments, emotional distance, trust ruptures, intimacy concerns, life transitions (such as becoming parents, job changes, or relocation), premarital questions, and long-standing relational patterns rooted in attachment history.

Is couples therapy covered by insurance? Couples therapy is typically not covered by most insurance plans. We provide a Good Faith Estimate prior to beginning work together so you have full clarity on the investment. Many couples find that the structured package format actually makes the financial commitment more predictable and manageable.

What if we're not sure our relationship can be saved? You don't need to have that answer before starting. Many couples come in with exactly that uncertainty. Therapy can help you both gain clarity — whether that means finding a path forward together, or making a more conscious and grounded decision about the relationship.

Schedule a Couples Consultation

If you and your partner are feeling stuck in recurring conflict, emotional distance, or uncertainty about the future of your relationship, couples therapy can provide a supportive space to slow down and begin understanding what is happening beneath the surface.

Working with an experienced couples therapist can help partners recognize the patterns that keep them trapped in cycles of disconnection and begin developing new ways of communicating, repairing conflict, and reconnecting emotionally.

I offer couples therapy for partners located in Los Angeles and throughout California via telehealth, and work with couples navigating challenges such as communication breakdowns, trust issues, life transitions, intimacy concerns, and long-standing relational patterns.

The first step is scheduling a Couples Consultation, where we will briefly discuss your relationship history, current concerns, and determine which therapy package may best support your goals.

During this consultation you will have the opportunity to ask questions about the therapeutic process and explore whether working together feels like the right fit for you both.
